43 Foreigners who live in our land will gain more and more power, while we gradually lose ours.
44 They will have money to lend us, but we will have none to lend them. In the end they will be our rulers.
45 All these disasters will come on us, and they will be with us until we are destroyed, because we did not obey the Lord our God and keep all the laws that he gave us.
46 They will be the evidence of God's judgment on us and our descendants forever.
47 The Lord blessed us in every way, but we would not serve him with glad and joyful hearts.
48 So then, we will serve the enemies that the Lord is going to send against us. We will be hungry, thirsty, and naked - in need of everything. The Lord will oppress us harshly until we are destroyed.
49 The Lord will bring against us a nation from the ends of the earth, a nation whose language we do not know. They will swoop down on us like an eagle.
50 They will be ruthless and show no mercy to anyone, young or old.
51 They will eat our livestock and our crops, and we will starve to death. They will not leave us any grain, wine, olive oil, cattle, or sheep; and we will die.
52 They will attack every town in the land that the Lord our God is giving us, and the high, fortified walls in which we trust will fall.
53 When our enemies are besieging our towns, we will become so desperate for food that we will even eat the children that the Lord our God has given us.

Salvation Guaranteed through Jesus Christ and standing firm on "The True Rock" during that hour of temptation is how you enter into the joy of the LORD which is the kingdom of God.
Be ready at all times.
