The ten commandments are the laws of God. A commandment is to be obeyed.
Read Exodus 20 and memorize them so you can be obedient to God. Teach them to your children.
Psalms 119:97 MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
When Jesus came he said in Matthew 5:17-18, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
Read Ephesians 6:10-17 and incorporate these scriptures in your daily prayer. An example might be:
Today dear Lord I put on the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD to help me stand against the wiles of the devil. I put on the HELMET OF SALVATION to protect my mind because I know that my mind is a battlefield for Satan. Please dear Lord take my first thoughts captive so I will not entertain them and turn them into sin.
Please dear Lord help me to think on these things:
Philippians 4:8 whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, please dear Lord help me to think on these things.
I hold out the SWORD OF TRUTH which is the word of God. I know that the Spirit of truth is the Holy Spirit, my guide, and my teacher. And I thank the Holy Spirit for being my guide and my teacher. Please dear Lord help me so that I will not quench the Holy Spirit. But develop within me the nine first fruits:
Galatians 5:22-23 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.
I know that the Word of God + the Holy Spirit = the truth of God. And that unless the veil is taken away from my eyes with the help of the Holy Spirit, I will not be able to receive the truth of God.
I take the SHIELD OF FAITH and as those fiery darts of temptation from Satan come towards me they will bounce off the shield of faith. And giving in diligence:
2 Peter 1:5-7 please dear Lord, add to my faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
I put on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS to protect my heart which is full of emotions. Please dear Lord help me to keep my emotions in tact (under control) so I will not act upon them and get into trouble.
GIRD MY LOINS with the word of God so that I may have spiritual discernment, so that I may know right from wrong, so that I may know good from evil.
SHOD MY FEET with the preparation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that I may walk in peace.
John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
Read Proverbs so you will have knowledge and understanding of what God requires of you in these flesh bodies.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.
Mark 13:9-11
But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. The gospel must first be published among all nations. They shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Give your testimony with faith.
Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
