January 2025 Renew a Right Spirit Within Me

Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

In the Strong's Concordance Bible, the word clean (reference # 2889 in the Hebrew section) means morally pure.  The word right (reference # 3559 in the Hebrew section) means faithful, stable, and perfect.

God is a Spirit and is holy. When we worship God, we must worship him in spirit and in truth. We must have a clean heart (without sin) for God to hear our prayers.

John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 Peter 3:12

For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Psalms 99:9

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

A believer who has repented and been baptized in the name of God the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, strives to keep a clean heart while living in these flesh bodies.

God forgives us when we confess our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 15:3

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

What does it take to keep a right spirit with God?

It takes knowledge of God's laws and discipline to keep them. Remember, sin is an act of rebellion against God. God hates sin for he is holy.

The flesh body ages while the spiritual body is renewed by God if we do what we are supposed to do based on biblical principles. The spiritual body is eternal if we have lived right based on the word of God. The spiritual body is the intellect of the soul.

Romans 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

The bible says in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 that we are to fear (revere) God and keep his commandments. This is the whole duty of man.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

What is sin?

According to the King James Bible version, the biblical definition of sin is found in 1 John 3:4: "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

When we sin, we break the law of God. We will always sin as long as we are in these flesh bodies. It is important to know what the law of God is so we can make moral decisions that align with the law of God.

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

1 Thessalonians 4:7

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

What are the nine characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit?

When we crucify the flesh and put into practice the nine characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit, then we live and walk in the Spirit. When the Holy Spirit works in our lives, then we can recognize the temptations of Satan and avoid sin by putting on the whole armour of God.

In Galatians 5:22-23, the bible tells us that the nine characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.

Galatians 5:24-26

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

How to conduct yourself.

Conduct, conversation, and attitude should be like Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4: 8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

We are the body of Christ.

Ask the LORD to help you walk holy, to be sanctified, to demonstrate the life of Christ.

1 Timothy 4:12

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

SUMMARY

The Lord Jesus Christ gave us examples to study in the bible so that we can be learned of the commandments and the ways of God. To serve God is to do the will of God and not our own. Study what sin is in the bible. Repent of your sins when you do them. Keep a clean heart so your prayers are answered by God. Renew a right spirit within you with God's help. God is loving, merciful, and forgiving.

Words of wisdom

2 Corinthians 4:18

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

February 2025 - Hope

Hope that is seen, is not hope.

According to the Bible, hope that is seen, is not hope. There has to be a confident expectation of the promises of God and a choice to trust in God's words.

Romans 8:24

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

What does "Hope" look like?

Romans 15:13

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We know that the symbols of hope in the Bible are represented by the cross,  the Rock, the rainbow, the anchor, and the dove.

The cross represents a symbol of hope where love, salvation, and redemption are manifested in Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay the atonement for our sins so that we could be saved and have eternal life.

1 John 4:10

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

The Rock represents a symbol of hope in Jesus Christ and his testimony. The testimony of Jesus Christ is if you have the Son, you have Life; if you don’t have the Son, you don’t have Life.

1 Corinthians 10:4

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

1 John 5:11

And this is the testimony that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

John 14:6

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no one comes to the Father except by Me.

The rainbow represents a symbol of hope that God's covenant is an everlasting covenant with every living creature of all flesh. He promised that the waters would no more become a flood to destroy all flesh upon the earth.

Genesis 9:15-17

15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

The anchor represents a symbol of hope and steadfastness. The anchor has long been associated with overcoming adversity, stability, safety, resilience, confidence, and strength.

Hebrew 6:19-20

19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.

The dove represents a symbol of hope through peace, reconciliation, and new beginnings. In the Bible, the symbol for the Holy Spirit is a dove representing the presence of God.

Matthew 3:16

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.

Genesis 8:11

11 And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.

What is an example of hope in the Bible?

When we are tested by God, we hope to endure the test so that we will be obedient and pleasing to God. Then we will receive God's blessings. The reason for the tests of life is so God can watch your behavior in difficult times and decide if you can serve him. Can God count on you in difficult times or are you a quitter?

One example of hope is the story of Job.

Job 17:15

And where is now my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?

AI Overview puts into perspective the need for hope in God's strength, protection, encouragement, and comfort in hard times.

The key lesson from the story of Job regarding hope is that even in the face of immense suffering and hardship, one can maintain faith and hope in God, trusting that He is in control and will ultimately bring justice and restoration, even when the reasons for suffering are unclear or seemingly unjust; essentially, holding onto hope despite difficult circumstances is a testament to one's faith.

Key points about Job and hope:

Stedfast faith

Despite losing everything, Job never abandoned his belief in God, demonstrating the power of deep faith in the midst of adversity.

Hope in the unfamiliar

Even when Job couldn't understand why he was suffering, he still held onto the hope that God had a plan and would eventually vindicate him.

Looking beyond the present

Job's hope was anchored in the belief that there was a life after death where God would ultimately set things right.

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick.

Hope deferred in the rebuilding and recovery of Los Angeles will make the wildfire victims feel sad and discouraged because they have to wait so long for something they really want. Eventually when the people achieve their desire of a new home and community, it will bring immense joy and satisfaction to them.

Proverbs 13:12

Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life.

Verses on "Hope" for these last days.

Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us.

Isaiah 40:31 But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.

Psalm 27:14 Wait and hope for and expect the Lord.

Psalms 39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Psalms 33:22 Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Galatians 5:5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

Jeremiah 17:17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.

Psalms 119:114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

Psalms 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

Psalms 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Proverbs 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

SUMMARY

The bible says in Daniel 12:1:

"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book."

Words of wisdom

We have hope for the return of the true Rock, Jesus Christ, at the last trumpet (the seventh trumpet) to deliver us from Satan and his followers at the end of this age.

Titus 3:7

That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus 1:2

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.

March 2025 - Your Redemption Draws Near

Where are we in the dispensations of God's dealings with men? Is our redemption drawing near?

Referencing the Companion Bible, the authorized version of 1611, published by Kregel Publications, we read the 195th appendix explaining in detail the different ages and dispensations of God's dealings with men. There are seven times or dispensations; each with its own beginning and end, except No. 7, which is without end for it is the eternal state of glory. We have completed the first, second, and third dispensations. We are in the fourth dispensation beginning with the period of grace and ending with the "day of the Lord".

What things will begin to come to pass?

Referencing Luke 21:28

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The disciples wanted to know from Jesus when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

As a watchman, we are to watch for the following things in Luke 21:8-11.

Many antichrists will be saying, “I am Christ” but do not be deceived and follow them.

8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

Wars and rumors of wars; the end is not yet, so do not be terrified.

9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Luke 21:32 "that thy faith fail not."

Read this example below carefully when Peter three times denies that he knew Jesus. Many of us are going to be delivered up for not going along with the One World System which will ultimately lead to worshipping Satan as God in Jerusalem.

Luke 21:31-34

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

Peter was very confident in his love for Jesus Christ. He said he would even be ready to go with Jesus, both into prison and to death. Satan wanted to prove to God that Peter was overly confident and full of pride. And that when the time came for Jesus to be arrested and crucified, Peter's fear would overtake his faith, and he would deny that he knew Jesus three times just before the cock crowed that day.

Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Satan knows that if he attacks you spiritually (sift you as wheat), your faith will be challenged, and you will fail due to fear. Peter's loyalty and courage failed miserably causing Peter to deny Jesus three times after the arrest (Luke 22:54-62). But by God’s mercy, Peter repented and wept bitterly over his sin.

Be prepared to follow God's words in the Bible exactly what you are to do when you are delivered up.

You are a threat to the establishment of the One World System if you do not participate in it. God has given you instructions of what to do when you are delivered up so you will NOT COMMIT the unpardonable sin and burn in the lake of fire.

Luke 21:12-15

12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's (the true Jesus Christ) sake.

13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

The Holy Spirit will speak through you and give you the words to be spoken just like in Acts 2:1-4.

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

God will allow us to be tested.

As believers in Jesus Christ, God will allow us to be tested to see if we will fail like Peter when sifted as wheat by Satan. The Bible says the world will worship Satan (the antichrist) and engage in his One World System.

The peer pressure to conform will be great.

Merriam-Webster.com Dictionary defines peer pressure as a feeling that one must do the same things as other people in order to be liked or respected by them.

Luke 21:16-17

16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

John 15:18

If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Being overly confident and full of pride can cause us to fail. We might think that not worshipping Satan (the antichrist) and not participating in his one world system will be a piece of cake. But the peer pressure to conform will be so great that most Christians and the world will conform to the One World System and worship Satan (the antichrist). You will not be able to hold a job, purchase the necessities of life, or have shelter over your head, etc.

Why would a Christian believer worship Satan as antichrist in Jerusalem in the last days? It goes against everything we have been taught and believe. Fear can cause us to do things we otherwise might not do.

2 Thessalonians 2:4

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he (Satan as antichrist) as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

SUMMARY

Trusting in yourself leads to failure. Overcoming through faith is crucial as a Christian. Believers are empowered to trust in God's promises, rely on His strength, and persevere through trials, ultimately experiencing His deliverance and provision.

God gives us the confidence to stand firmly on "The True Rock" which is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. He promises that not a hair on your head will perish. Do Not Worship Satan, the antichrist.

Luke 21:18

18 But there shall not a hair on your head perish.

Remember God's Plan of Redemption will be fulfilled.

Luke 21:22

22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

Words of wisdom

Luke 21:28

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

April 2025 - Patience

God, the creator, has given humanity, the creation, only so much time to live on earth.

We have had 4,000 years BC and 2,000 years AD. We are coming to the end of this age. All the signs to watch, for the return of Jesus Christ, are spoken of in the Bible. Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21,and the book of Revelation.

 James 1:3

Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

What is patience?

Patience is a skill that is developed over one's lifetime. Not everyone will take the time to develop it. It takes endurance, discipline, positive attitude, awareness, resilience, compassion, emotional stability, intelligence, power, love, and sound mind.

In trials and tribulations, patience is observed by God, to see how you will respond. Will you wait for God or get frustrated and do your own thing in your own timing? How you handle trials and tribulations will depend on how much patience you have developed. God has a plan and will fulfill that plan by using obedient and patient servants.

Romans 8:25

But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Psalms 37:7

Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Patience is a virtue and is one of the nine virtues mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23.

According to the copilot answer, the phrase "patience is a virtue" means the ability to wait calmly without frustration is a valuable quality. It emphasizes that patience is a skill worth developing, as it is often difficult to master and can lead to better outcomes in life.

Galatians 5:22-23

22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.

Hebrews 6:12

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Nothing lasts forever.

What is the best way to develop patience? By remembering that "nothing lasts forever". So, when you get frustrated and want to quit; stop and remember "nothing lasts forever".

Get grounded, focus on God, and remember life is a race to the finish line. God dislikes quitters and cannot use them as servants because they are unreliable.

We know that "nothing lasts forever" and so be patient and wait for the LORD and he will answer your prayer with Yes, No, or Wait. The outcome with the LORD is always better. Be patient.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 13:7

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

You must have patience to wait for the LORD.

Life is about waiting for the LORD. When you study the Bible, there are people  who have displayed patience in their difficult and challenging situations. You can read about Job, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Hannah, and Simeon who waited for God's timing. Learn from them. Take the time to develop PATIENCE. You will not regret it.

Psalms 130:5

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Psalms 27:14

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Isaiah 30:18

And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Psalms 59:9

Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense.

Psalms 62:5

My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

Lamentations 3:26

It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Psalms 25:5

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Psalms 37:9

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

SUMMARY

We are approaching the end of the age. Seek God before it is too late. Serve God with a willing spirit and you shall reap the rewards. Develop the patience you will need to endure the end of this age and be an overcomer.  Wait for the seventh trumpet when the true Jesus Christ will return. Will your name be written in the book of life? Will you be ready for eternity described in Revelation chapters 21 and 22?

God's promise to us is the new covenant.

Hebrews 8:10-11

10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Words of wisdom

Luke 21:36

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Habakkuk 2:3

For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Come quickly, dear Lord Jesus, come quickly.

May 2025 - The Glory of God

What does the glory of God mean in the bible?

In the Strong's Concordance 3519 and 1391, the glory of God, represents His divine presence and authority. The Israelites understood God's glory as both a visible manifestation, such as the cloud and fire in the wilderness, and a deeply connected attribute of His nature.

In the context of God, "kabowd" refers to His majestic presence and the manifestation of His divine attributes. It can also imply the honor and respect of the significance of the presence of God.

God's glory includes his wisdom, love, power, sound mind, riches, creativity, beauty, strength, holiness, mercy, grace, and compassion.

1 Corinthians 10:31

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Luke 2:14

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

How does God display his glory to his people?

As in the case of the Israelites journeying in the wilderness for 40 years, God displayed his glory two ways:

1) As a consuming fire to destroy the enemy or to show the light for the way to go in the wilderness.

2) As a cloud protecting his people and to lead the way.

Exodus 40:38

For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

Nehemiah 9:19

Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.

Deuteronomy 9:3

Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

Who saw the glory of God in the bible?

The prophet Ezekiel described God in Ezekiel 8:2 as having "the likeness as the appearance of a man...as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward...as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about".

When Moses was with the LORD forty days and forty nights, the brightness of the glory of God was shining on Moses' face sending out rays of light.

Exodus 34:28-30

28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

29 And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses knew not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

30 And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

The three disciples, Peter, James, and John his brother experienced the glory of God during the transfiguration of Jesus Christ. The brightness of Jesus Christ was overshadowed by a bright cloud having the voice of the glory of God in it.

Matthew 17:1-8

1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,

2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

3 And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.

4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

5 While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

7 And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

8 And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Since we are not perfect like God, it is by the grace of God that we are saved but only if we believe that Jesus Christ is the true Son of God who paid the atonement for our sins through his blood on the cross and declare the resurrection of Jesus Christ to be true.

Romans 3:24-26

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

At the end of the age, will we see the glory of God?

Yes. Every name that is written in the Lamb's book of life shall see the glory of God.

Revelation 21:9-11, 22-27

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honor into it.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.

27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Summary

The glory of God is His ultimate gift to us in eternity. The promise is that all suffering, distress, and hardship is temporary and leads to God's eternal glory. The mystery of God is the plan of salvation that leads to Jesus Christ being King of kings and Lord of lords in the New Jerusalem of the eternal kingdom of God.

Romans 8:1

O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

Words of Wisdom

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price (thirty pieces of silver): therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

June 2025 - Righteous Indignation

What is righteous indignation?

Copilot Answer

Righteous indignation in the Bible refers to a just and moral anger in response to sin and injustice. It is characterized as a reflection of God's own character, where believers are called to align their anger with God's purposes.

Ephesians 4:26

Be angry, yet do not sin.

This type of indignation arises from a commitment to uphold truth and justice, distinguishing it from selfish anger. It is often expressed for the sake of others, as exemplified by Jesus in various biblical accounts. Overall, righteous indignation is a biblically grounded response that seeks to address moral wrongdoing while maintaining a spirit of love and reconciliation. Bible Hub

What are some examples of righteous indignation?

Jesus casting out all them and the moneychangers in the temple of God.

Matthew 21:10-13

10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this?

11 And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,

13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Moses had righteous indignation when he cast the tablets after witnessing the Israelites worshipping a golden calf.

Read Exodus 32 for the full story of Moses and the casting of the tablets and the worshipping of the golden calf..

Exodus 32:7-10,19-20

7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:

8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Mose's anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and broke them beneath the mount.

20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

Align your righteous indignation with God's purposes.

Righteous indignation is a biblically grounded response that seeks to address moral wrongdoing while maintaining a spirit of love and reconciliation.

All of the commandments of God give his people the knowledge of how God wants us to live in this sinful and corrupt world.

If you want the blessings of God then do it God's way. God knows best and sees the consequences of not obeying his commandments. God is still merciful to those who love him and keep his commandments. Living a sinful life brings tragedy, emptiness, and death.

Ephesians 4:26-27

26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

27 Neither give place to the devil.

Be familiar with the commandments of God so you can respond with righteous indignation without sinning.

Matthew 22:36-40

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

The Ten Commandments

Exodus 20:1-17

1 And God spoke all these words, saying,

2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

Righteous indignation vs. self-righteous anger. Take the test.

Mark 14:3-5

3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?

5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

Answer: this is an example of self-righteous anger.

Why? Because they wanted to sell the oil and give the proceeds to the poor rather than honor Jesus before he was to be crucified. The poor was always with them but Jesus was leaving soon and she wanted to anoint his body with the expensive ointment for the burying of Jesus.

Mark 14:6-9

6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.

8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Examine your heart and motivations.

Referencing  Psychology Today - Righteousness vs. Self-righteousness is explained as follows:

Biblically speaking, righteousness is about being in right standing with God vs. self-righteousness, recognized as giving final authority for one’s decisions not to God but to one’s self. So self-righteousness becomes, paradoxically, a kind of self-trusting sacrilege: The person isn’t serving God’s will but profaning God by serving, or taking final direction from themselves.

Lamentations 3:40-41

40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Romans 12:16

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Summary

James 1:19-20 advises, "Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for man's anger does not bring about the righteousness that God desires."

Words of Wisdom

Be the best you can be and align yourself with the Word of God. Respond appropriately using the Word of God in your trials and tribulations of this world. Unfortunately, the deceiver is coming and we must be ready for him.
