John the Baptist was created by God to prepare the way of the Lord and to tell the people to repent for the kingdom of heaven was at hand.
Matthew 3:1-3
1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
John the Baptist baptized a person after they had repented of their sins. He did this before Jesus Christ became known to the people. Once Jesus was known, Jesus would then baptize them with the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 3:11
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, and with fire.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission (forgiveness) of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is your guide and teacher into all truth of the Word of God. He will show you things to come.
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak, and he will show you things to come.
Key: After you have repented of your sins and been baptized, then ask your heavenly Father for the Holy Spirit to guide you into all truth. For without the Holy Spirit, you will not understand the Word of God. Do not quench (suppress) the Holy Spirit.
Luke 11:13
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
1 Thessalonians 5:19
Quench not the Spirit.
Can you not see that the world is entering a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time? Are you in a slumber and do not want to pay attention to current events in the world? Are you that busy and just do not care?
Daniel 12:1
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book of life.
Instead of seeking God by repenting of our foolish ways and asking God to help us, we have sought the leadership of this world. We are so hopeful in the new leadership of billionaires, the advancement of technology, the ungodly reasoning powers and persuasion of people with new ideas to fix problems, that we have been deceived. Every day the unrighteous acts of people are getting worse and worse.
The world is our god. We spend more time on social media, television, and the computer than we do honoring, glorifying, and praising God.
Deuteronomy 25:16
For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.
James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
Galatians 5:21
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
The bible tells us what it will be like in the last days.
2 Timothy 3:1-5,13
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
The whole world will be deceived and will worship Satan (the antichrist) in Jerusalem. Why? Because the world is biblically illiterate and apathetic. They care more about their comfort zone and the cares of this world. They desire the temporal more than the eternal.
Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Satan will work overtime to get you to doubt the truth of God and to depart from the Christian faith. The bible says that in the last days, the man of sin (Satan) will exalt himself so he can be worshipped in Jerusalem as God.
Because the world is biblically illiterate and apathetic, Satan will have a field day in deceiving humanity. He will portray himself as the true God of all religions. He will perform miracles with his supernatural powers. He will promise you a debt free, comfortable, and exciting life on earth if you give your allegiance to him and worship him. He is the master of deception.
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there comes a falling away first (the apostasy), and that man of sin (Satan) be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Take notice if you have not been caught up in the deception of Satan (antichrist). Do not be afraid for God will protect you.
2 Timothy 3:12-16
12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Luke 21:12-18
12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer (unforgiveable sin):
15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18 But there shall not be a hair on your head perish.
You have studied the Word of God and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. You have repented and been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You have forsaken all other gods, religions, and doctrines.
It is imperative that you do not waver or doubt the Word of God. Your faith must be as strong as the mustard seed whereby you can move mountains.
Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall be removed; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Hebrews 3:12
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
2 Peter 3:17
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
What does stedfastness mean? According to dictionary.com, steadfast means to be fixed or firm in a direction or purpose – unwavering.
1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.

Words of Wisdom
2 Timothy 4:8
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not to me only, but unto all of them also that love his appearing.
Mark 8:36
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Repent and be baptized. You will not regret it for a new kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Wait for the seventh trumpet to sound when the true Jesus Christ returns and you will be changed in the twinkling of an eye into your spiritual body.
There is no rapture. You will be deceived and will worship the fake messiah, Satan (antichrist), pretending to be God in Jerusalem at the sixth trumpet.
1 Corinthians 15:50-52
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump (the seventh trumpet): for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Come quickly dear Lord Jesus, come quickly.
