In the Bible, Jesus refers to himself as "the Amen" in Revelation 3:14. 

14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

Referring to the Strong's Concordance H543 (Hebrew in Old Testament) and G281(Greek in the New Testament) for the word Amen, we find that Amen is also used to mean "sure," "truly," "verily," or "so be it." It is confirmation, approval, and support of God in revelation and creation. 

Amen carries the meaning of absolute truth, steadfastness, and certainty. It binds you to what is being said by a religious leader since God identifies himself as the "God of Amen" or the "God of truth".

Isaiah calls God "Amen," often translated as "God of truth".

Isaiah 65:16

16 Because he who is blessed in the earth will be blessed by the God of AMEN; And he who swears in the earth will swear by the God of AMEN; Because the former troubles are forgotten, and because they are hidden from My sight!

Matthew 6:9-13

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

The numerical value of the word AMEN written in Greek in the new testament totals to 99. 

In the Amen|Catholic Answers Encyclepedia, moreover, as the Greek letters which form Amen according to their numerical values total 99 (a=1, m=40, e =8, n=50), this number often appears in inscriptions, especially of Egyptian origin, and a sort of magical efficacy.

The number 9 represents divine completeness by God, the finality of His plan of salvation for humanity, and the promises given to those who are obedient to God and His commandments. When there are two 9's, there is double emphasis, so we need to pay attention.
