Cast thy Burden upon the LORD

Burdens are a part of life. How we handle them will determine if we have time to serve the LORD.

Life brings burdens which crush us spiritually, emotionally, physically, and mentally. Many people are pre-occupied with their self-burdens and thus are too busy for God. When you cannot focus on God then God cannot use you to serve him. It takes prayer, faith, and self-discipline to stop focusing on self-burdens. Turn the self-burdens over to the LORD and he will strengthen you and not cause you to fall or be shaken. The end result is that you have freed your time and are now available for the LORD to use you as he sees fit.

Psalms 55:22

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain (strengthen) thee: he shall never allow the righteous to fall or be shaken.

Time is of the essence. A new kingdom is coming.

The world is asleep and not watching the events transpiring that line up with prophecy in the bible. When your time is free of burdens then you can be a witness for the word of God.

Luke 21:31

So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is near at hand.

Luke: 21:8-11

Many antichrists will be saying, “I am Christ” but do not be deceived and follow them.

8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

Wars and rumors of wars; the end is not yet, so do not be terrified.

9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Servant of the LORD or servant of self.

As the world goes into a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time, the self-burdens of society will increase and eventually there will be no time to serve the LORD or for studying the word of God. You can only imagine what is coming for the word of God says a time of trouble is coming such as never was.

Daniel 12:1

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Peace, Peace, Peace. But there will be no peace until Jesus Christ returns at the second advent.

Why will there be no peace on earth until Jesus Christ returns at the second advent?

It does not matter what men think and do with the so called "peace process". Men's efforts for peace on earth are imperfect, sinful, and motivated by self-interests which is why we cannot resolve the issues of the world.

How many times have we tried to negotiate peace in the history of the world? There will never be peace on earth until Jesus Christ returns. That is why Jesus Christ is called The Prince of Peace. His purpose is to bring God's "Peace by Design" plan for the inhabitants of the earth. Jesus Christ will rule as King of kings and Lord of lords of a perfect government in the new kingdom of God.

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

1 Thessalonians 5:3

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Sin causes your burdens.

When we sin, our focus on the LORD is hindered. So it is important to repent of our sins, get rid of the burdens, and then we can serve the LORD and fulfill his will and not our own. Faith in the LORD will get rid of your burdens.

Matthew 11:28-30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

SUMMARY

In conclusion, we must repent of our sins and remove the burdens in our life by casting them to the LORD so we can be ready to serve the LORD as he sees fit.

Deuteronomy 10:20

20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.

Luke 10:2

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth laborers into his harvest.

Come quickly dear Lord Jesus. Come quickly.
