We have had 4,000 years BC and 2,000 years AD. We are coming to the end of this age. All the signs to watch, for the return of Jesus Christ, are spoken of in the Bible. Read Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21,and the book of Revelation. James 1:3
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
Patience is a skill that is developed over one's lifetime. Not everyone will take the time to develop it. It takes endurance, discipline, positive attitude, awareness, resilience, compassion, emotional stability, intelligence, power, love, and sound mind.
In trials and tribulations, patience is observed by God, to see how you will respond. Will you wait for God or get frustrated and do your own thing in your own timing? How you handle trials and tribulations will depend on how much patience you have developed. God has a plan and will fulfill that plan by using obedient and patient servants.
Romans 8:25
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Psalms 37:7
Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
According to the copilot answer, the phrase "patience is a virtue" means the ability to wait calmly without frustration is a valuable quality. It emphasizes that patience is a skill worth developing, as it is often difficult to master and can lead to better outcomes in life.
Galatians 5:22-23
22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.
Hebrews 6:12
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
What is the best way to develop patience? By remembering that "nothing lasts forever". So, when you get frustrated and want to quit; stop and remember "nothing lasts forever".
Get grounded, focus on God, and remember life is a race to the finish line. God dislikes quitters and cannot use them as servants because they are unreliable.
We know that "nothing lasts forever" and so be patient and wait for the LORD and he will answer your prayer with Yes, No, or Wait. The outcome with the LORD is always better. Be patient.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
1 Corinthians 13:7
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Life is about waiting for the LORD. When you study the Bible, there are people who have displayed patience in their difficult and challenging situations. You can read about Job, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Hannah, and Simeon who waited for God's timing. Learn from them. Take the time to develop PATIENCE. You will not regret it.
Psalms 130:5
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
Psalms 27:14
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Isaiah 30:18
And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
Psalms 59:9
Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defense.
Psalms 62:5
My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Lamentations 3:26
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Psalms 25:5
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
Psalms 37:9
For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
We are approaching the end of the age. Seek God before it is too late. Serve God with a willing spirit and you shall reap the rewards. Develop the patience you will need to endure the end of this age and be an overcomer. Wait for the seventh trumpet when the true Jesus Christ will return. Will your name be written in the book of life? Will you be ready for eternity described in Revelation chapters 21 and 22?
God's promise to us is the new covenant.
Hebrews 8:10-11
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
